This beam was salvaged from my family's farmyard in rural Saskatchewan, where it had been taking punishment in the elements for decades. It was falling apart, full of dirt and rot. After a good clean-up, it took 3 rounds of stabilizing epoxy to give it back the tremendous strength it once had. The beautifully revealed grain has been preserved with a clear polyurethane, and I've matched this piece with Rothley antique copper hairpin legs for a rustic minimalist look. I believe this is Northern White Cedar, but I can't be sure.

What was once forgotten, bygone, or destined to be firewood is now a functional artwork built to last a few lifetimes. 'Revival'
