This salvaged piece of African Mahogany a.k.a. Khaya, is equally as strong and dense as it is beautiful. I’m always inspired by finding so many analogies between the workings of nature and the human spirit. One thing that draws me to work with salvaged, flawed, forgotten, and reclaimed hardwoods is that they all hide this incredible beauty and strength under their battered surface. Unique characteristics hidden to the world and existing right beyond our site. To bear danger, pain, and adversity with courage and strength, is called fortitude.
