Coconut Wood
Something that inspires and teaches me the most in life are the people I meet. Travelling can put you in both a place of growth, excitement, and opportunity and also in challenge, unease, and discomfort. One thing that doesn't change no matter what soil I'm on is common ground between people from vastly different backgrounds. We all seem to chase the same type of things in different languages, lands, and circumstances.
One of my favorite aspects of Paje, Zanzibar that is hard to come by when you're always on the road, is community. Never been somewhere where it's so easy to meet good people. To be met and treated as an old friend, brother, or family is common and people are happy to share their culture and personal experiences with you. Along with the beautiful people, is a variety of gorgeous natural materials like this salvaged coconut wood. I'm excited to explore more of the community and materials in this part of the world. Big things to come.
